Regular Sessions for All

Monday’s - Morrisons

Wednesday’s - Wade Street Church

Saturday’s - Ryknild Street/Tamworth Road

Sunday’s - Borrowcop Lane

Steeped in history, Lichfield is the perfect place to enjoy our training runs, with regular sessions each week, split into ability groups, there’s something for everyone.

❋ Monday Evenings

We meet at Morrison’s small car park (near the garage), meet at 6.20pm for a 6.30pm start.

From late April we follow the summer route – 5 miles approx along country lanes.

Late September the route changes to the winter circular route around Lichfield, with darker nights visibility is important, lights and reflective clothes are a must.

We aim to cover about 6 miles.

❋ Saturday Mornings

Rub your eyes and nail that coffee, we meet at 8.50am for a 9am start.

This is a social run, catering for all abilities, covering about 9 miles, we meet at Ryknild Street where it joins with Tamworth Road, affectionately known at TOWiH - The Only Way is Hopwas, this off-road course takes the beautiful Staffordshire countryside and, of course, going through Hopwas Woods.

❋ Wednesday Evenings

Led by qualified run leaders, we split into A - D groups, depending on ability, with the leaders setting the group activity.

Distance runs aim for 4-7 miles, depending on the group, with other activities being interval, sprint and hill training.

We meet at our base, Wade Street Church, which is accessed from the Frog Lane side of the building.

❋ Sunday Mornings

Good grief - it’s another 9am start, our “musketeers” head out, varying trail and road running routes, for about 8 miles, with frequent stops to allow people to “muster” and regroup.

The musketeers on tour often includes a post-run breakfast.

❋ Ad-hoc Runs!

What do you mean 4 times a week isn’t enough?

Fair play, members often organise ad-hoc runs themselves, these informal runs vary wildly, so its best to speak to the organiser to get a better idea of what the run entails.
